Dog behavior cannot be predicted or warranted by Pawsitive Performance or Beaches Pet Resort & Training Center, the providers of this Dog Training Class (hereinafter, “the Providers”).
By signing this waiver, I acknowledge that I understand this Training Class presents a certain risk to me, my family and/or guests who may attend classes with me, and to my dog. This is so, even though the dogs present in the class, may be properly screened and handled by the owners and/or class teachers during the class sessions. I hereby waive, release and hold harmless, the Providers their officers, employees, owners, members and agents from any injury or damage resulting from the action of any dog in the class. I expressly assume the risk of injury or property damage while attending any training session or while on the training grounds or the areas surrounding the facility.
In consideration of and as an inducement to the acceptance of my application for Dog Training, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Providers, their officers, employees, members and agents from any claims by me, my family or any other person accompanying me to any Training Session while in class or on the grounds of the training facility, caused by a dog, be it another dog in training or my own dog.
I also agree to abide by the policies of the Providers as listed below:
Dangerous Dogs: Any dog which in the opinion of the Providers is uncontrollable, unpredictable, aggressive or in any way deemed to be a danger to people or property will not be allowed in regular group classes and will be referred for private consultation.
Dogs on Leash: All dogs must remain on a recommended leash while on the training premises and in the facility, unless otherwise instructed for training purposes.
Humane Treatment:
Any person using the facility of the Providers must agree to use humane training methods as determined by the Providers. Specifically, no shock collars are permitted for any reason. Prong or metal choke chains will not be allowed unless otherwise agreed to by the providers. No harsh or inhumane treatment of dogs will be allowed at any time, including harsh corrections, hitting or slamming.
Clean Up:
All handlers must clean up after their dogs while on the premises of the training facility.
Females in Heat: Female dogs in heat should not be brought to class.
Refunds:
Full credit refunds will be given if the Providers cancel all four/six weeks of class. A pro rata refund will be given if the Providers cancel any individual without a substitute date. Otherwise, there will be no refunds after the first class begins. The classes are limited in enrollment, and are reasonably priced. As a result, the cancellation policy is strictly enforced.
