Deborah Vitale

Owner, ABC Certified Dog Trainer, Behavioral Specialist 

Hello, my name is Deborah Vitale. I started in the pet care industry in 1996 with my In-Home pet care service, A Pet's Pal. In 2003, I graduated from the Animal Behavior College and I am now a Mentor Trainer for them. I have spent the last 15+ years studying and working with trainers from across the country and specialize in Behavior Training and working with pet dog owners to create the best relationship with their dog. I also started a non-profit organization to support animal rescue and re-home dogs. Seeing a need in the industry, I opened Beaches in 2014. I pride myself on setting the standard in the pet care industry in everything I do. Providing excellent service and sharing my knowledge with my clients and staff has been my passion for over 20 years. I own 3 dogs of my own: Maeve, a 10-year-old Catahoula; Cody, a 7-year-old Golden Retriever; and Molly, a 4-year-old Staffordshire Terrier. I also own 2 cats, Jazz & Jerry, and a Cockatoo named Skipper.

Marco Vitale

Owner, “Cabana Boy"

Hi, my name is Marco Vitale. I am Deborah’s husband of 30 years and co-owner here at Beaches. I am an IT specialist for the automotive industry, but you can find me at Beaches on evenings and weekends helping out and taking care of the facility. They like to call me the Cabana Boy because I make sure the facility is kept up and looking good!

Resort Evaluator Dog

Hi, My name is Molly! Deborah adopted me in February of 2016 when I was about 9 months old. She soon learned I was a natural at understanding and working with the new dogs that came into the facility. So, I was given the job of Evaluator for all of our new clients. I am great at understanding other dogs and their personalities. I also am a great puppy mom for all of the youngsters that come into the facility. I love coming to work with my mom and getting to meet all the new dogs!

Groomer

Hello my name is Kim, I am the Groomer and also Deborah’s sister. After many years working as a Dental Lab Tech, I decided to take my love for animals and my artistic talents to start a career in grooming. It just so happened at the same time I decided to make this change, my sister had decided to make a change of her own and open Beaches. Of course, she needed a Groomer, and the rest is history. I graduated from The Animal Behavior College and have been working at Beaches, as well as grooming for a veterinarian for the past 5 years. I am also the Vice President and Secretary for Angels Supporting Animals. I have a Golden Doodle names Piper, an Airdoodle named Morgan, and 3 birds.

Hello, my name is Gedie. I’ve worked at Beaches since we opened in 2014. I have a 7-year-old teddy bear breed named Sookie who is the light of my life. She is always in the office with me! I’m an experienced professional of many years in multiple environments dealing with accounting and HR. This is by far the best experience I’ve had when it comes to work environments!

Hello, my name is Dawn. I Graduated from Macomb Community College with a Small Business Degree. I have worked in management at Kmart and CVS. I have been here at Beaches since July of 2019 and I'm I love working here at Beaches because I love all animals and really enjoy customer service. My pack at home includes my Great Danes, Hershey and Gamble; Boxer/American Bulldog mix, Prince; 2 chinchillas, Jet and Ivory; a bearded dragon, Sam.

Hello, my name is Mia. I started working for Beaches in November of 2017. I’m in charge of all chalkboard art here at the beach and various other small art projects around the facility. I adore all animals whether they have fur, scales, feathers, shells, or anything in between! I have Bachelor's degree in American Sign Language Interpreting, and I'm currently a paraprofessional at a school in Ohio. I have one cat, Kirby, who is a Maine Coon/Forest Cat mix.

Hello, my name is Rachel and I've been with Beaches since July 2021. Ever since I was a little kid I've always had a strong love for animals, and have always wanted to work with dogs. When my dogs were puppies we took them to puppy obedience classes, and I fell in love with it. It has always been something that has stuck in the back of my mind. I also wanted to do something that was rewarding and beneficial, so training helps strengthen the bond between owners, and pets so they both live a happier life together. I couldn't be happier to continue my journey here!
